Our vision is to see the Gospel of Jesus Christ proclaimed throughout Woolston and the surrounding area. We seek to reveal Jesus to those who are around us and help them connect with Him, whilst building a community that all can belong to. While our missional focus is Woolston and the surrounding area, you don’t have to live there to be a part of the Missional Community.

Inspired by the scriptures in Joshua 1, and believing in the same way that Joshua was called to be ‘strong and courageous’ by taking hold of the Promised Land, we too are to take the land we have been called to be missionaries to. We believe that the promise in Joshua 1:3 “I will give you every place that you set your foot” is a promise God has given us for Woolston. We also believe that “God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but of power, of love and of self discipline” (2 Timothy 1:7). We aim to apply and live out these scriptures as we function as a Missional Community.

A Family on Mission

In order to establish a strong Missional Community and ensure we give space to hear from God, love each other and reach the perishing, our cell meets weekly and begins with the Missional Community meal, which families can attend. We then have a time including worship, teaching and prayer.

We operate a number of Missional activities including a regular outreach activities including:

Prayer in the park/Prayer on the streets (Fridays 2-4pm, weekly. Sundays 10.30am-12pm, monthly)
A team from Woolston and others join together to litter pick, pray and proclaim the gospel on the streets of Woolston.

Missional Events

In addition to our regular outreach activities we also undertake one off opportunities including a Halloween mission. We are keen to expand our range of activities and are always open to suggestions!
