Families at the heart

Our vision is for families which are a ‘cornerstone’ for our society, but also at the heart of God’s plan for us. Cornerstone Missional Community aims to be a place where families can have time together and share God’s love through learning from each other and creating an extended family on mission that is open and welcoming to new families to join us.

“God decided in advance to adopt us into His own family by bringing us to Himself through Jesus Christ. This is what He wanted to do, and it gave Him great pleasure.” (Ephesians 1:8)

To achieve this as a Missional Community we try to provide spaces where the whole family can have ‘time out’ together from the busy routine of life… every two weeks we have tea together at The Shannon Bradshaw Community Centre. It’s a very relaxed and informal teatime, sharing food and talking about what God is doing in our family life. Everyone is welcome to this and it’s a key time for our ‘extended family’ to be together.

“Find the time to be together, doing the most ordinary everyday things.”

Up — Our relationship with God is developed through prayer, worship and listening to God together at our cell groups and encouraging families to have devotional times together at home.

In — Our relationship with each other is developed through times of sharing life together, and building friendship.

Out — Looking for new families that want to connect with us.
