Trekkings Walk – Cat Bells #2
June 22 @ 8:00 am - 8:00 pm
Cat Bells, in the Lake District, has a modest height of just 451m (1480ft) but despite this (or maybe because of it?), is still one of the most popular fells in the area. Situated approx. 3 miles from Keswick, it climbs from the western shore of Derwent Water, and it is here we will start our journey with a relaxing ferry across the lake (charge of £8pp applies) before the ‘not so relaxing’ first stage of our ascent. The climb then levels out slightly before a final, short scramble to the summit, with some fantastic views across the Lakes, weather permitting!
After returning to the car park we’ll head into Keswick for some well earned fish and chips!
Difficulty 3/3 Gradient 2/3
Meet at King’s Community Centre, Marina Avenue, Great Sankey, WA5 1JH ready to leave at 8am.
