arbury court

Since 2006 King's Church has had regular contact with Arbury Court, and during that
time has seen many changes in the structure and running of the mental health hospital.
Not least the opening last year of two new buildings to house a male and female unit,
and a teaching centre, which offers state of the art facilities. We were invited
to attend the opening ceremony and benefited from a tour of the new hospital
We offer
a cell group meeting, where we get to know the patients, invite them to join us in
a time of worship, which also includes communion, and share the teaching from the
previous Sunday's message. Above all, we attempt to show the patients and staff that
we value them and want to show them that Jesus loves them through what the Bible
says and through us
Staffing levels and patient choice means it is not always possible to meet every
month. However, the patients and staff know that we are available to visit on a one
to one basis also, and in cases of emergencies
We have enjoyed leading Christmas
Carol services for the past three years also, and have been made very welcome. The
mince pies and mulled wine are very tasty!
It is our intention to support the very
important work carried out at Arbury Court through prayer and supporting the patients
and staff in whatever way we can
